April 2009 Sens Desktop Calendar

The final Ottawa Senators wallpaper calendar for the 2008-2009 season. Sadly my beloved Sens are not making the playoffs this year, a first in 12 years. Its been a rollercoaster ride, a very slow start followed by a really good finish. We have a great player core and I don’t doubt that we’ll be back to being the competitive team that we can be for the 2009-2010 season.

dreamrealm::365 Photo Project

For the last few years, a number of people have joined a photo project or challenge called the 365 Project or 365 Challenge. For this project, you take one picture every year and post it to a blog dedicated to that project.

Doing such a project has a few advantages. The pictures can act as a time machine, allowing you to see a great number of things that you’ve seen and done within a year; the people you’ve met, the places you’ve seen and the things you’ve done.  It also helps you share moments of your life with others. The 365 Project also helps to develop you into a better photographer. As the year progresses, you should get better at composing your shots, being more attentive to lighting and shadows, as well as being more creative with your photography when you’re forced to take a new picture every day.

I decided to take part of this project and I created its own special blog located at http://365.dreamrealm.org/ . Today was day 1 of this project for me, and I’m eager to see where it takes me.

Snowfall: A Snow Diary

Its that time of year again. The temperature is dipping below zero througout the day and night. The sun sets before most folks get home from work. A white blanket covers the green grass and grey asphalt. Yup, its winter time!

To honour this wonderfully despised time of year, I’ve created a blog entitled Snowfall: A Snow Diary. This new site will keep track of the white crap precipitation throughout the winter in the Ottawa suburb of Orleans.

It doesn’t sound exciting? Well let me prove you wrong and head to http://snowfall.gareau.org to see for yourself. I’ll be waiting with glove covered hands to welcome you.
